When you create a text as a link, you might need to remove the blue color and underline from it. You can do that with these easy steps:

  1. Go to Signature templates and choose the template you want to edit

  2. Click on Source

  3. Find the piece of code with the link you want to edit

You might see something like this:

<a href="mailto:{email}">{email}</a>

   4. Now insert this piece of code right before the first symbol ">"

 rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration:none; color:#333"

   5. So it should look like this:

<a href="mailto:{email}" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration:none; color:#333">{email}</a>

6. You can change the color by editing the HEX code of the color code.

7. Now click on the Source button again and check the preview if it's working.

Please note that this works only for links (the <a> elements). It's not working when an email is in <div> or <p> element.

Yes, Gmail automatically recognizes phone numbers and creating links from them. You can prevent it by using the procedure described above. If you don't want a link there at all, you can create a blind link by using this piece of code.

<a href="#" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration:none; color:#333">{phone}</a>
